Summer Lovin – Valentines Inspiration
Valentine's Day is a great excuse to take some time out with the one you love. Whether you want to get out and about and enjoy the amazing weather, or have an amorous day at home, we have some suggestions that will get the romance flowing.
Headland Sculpture on the Gulf
Cool sculptures and divine scenery on an island full of vineyards - sound romantic enough for you? Waiheke Island's Headland Sculpture on the Gulf runs from 23 Jan - 15 Feb. The event showcases 31 sculptures along a 2km walking track which also happens to take in some of the best views the island has to offer. Visit sculptureonthegulf.co.nz for more details.
Clevedon Jazz, Wine and Food Festival
Picture this: you and your special someone, a picnic blanket, artisan foods, boutique wines and smooth jazz. This could be you this Valentine's Day at the Clevedon Jazz, Wine & Food Festival! Featuring Nathan Haines and The Auckland Jazz Orchestra, this will be an unforgettably romantic evening. Located at the Auckland Polo Club, just a 35min drive from Auckland's CBD. Further details can be found at eventfinder.co.nz.
Dux Sofa Daybed
Want Valentine's Day to be just the two of you? How about a lazy, intimate day at home lounging around on our luxurious, generously proportioned Dux Sofa Daybed. The invitingly plush upholstery makes this a great spot to snuggle up on.
Foxes Island Dry Riesling and Brix Chocolate with GHD Candleholder & Mosaic Dish
Fall in love with Foxes Island Wine, we certainly have! Try pairing a bottle of their Dry Riesling with some Brix Smooth Dark Chocolate - made especially for wine. Both are available from foxes-island.co.nz or from their cellar door at 15 Williamson Ave (next door to Mr Bigglesworthy!).
There is something so very romantic about glass. The Hospodka Flared Vase is particularly sexy; a beautiful curvy form in a sensuous pink and amber. For those who prefer a more structured look, how about the Mandruzzato Faceted Vase in magenta - an absolute knock out!
And, of course, glass always looks best under light. Combine the two with one of our Val St Lambert Table Lamps. It'll be sure to create the right mood for Valentine's dinner!
