The cheeky monkey (1951) in playful positions quickly became an icon of Danish design, amongst a band of other cheerful characters which are all miniature masterpieces in their own right. It is this tradition of gifting something for life that first attracted us to Kay Bojesen, as a brand that embodies the Good Form ethos of enduring design that will be passed down from generation to generation.
Of course, the thoughtful process of Kay Bojesen crafting these toys from the spare pieces of wood left over from larger projects makes this brand even more special as a resourceful and sustainable approach to gifting.
As a dedicated collector of modern design, Dan Eagle of Good Form admits "I have a tendency to go straight for the most rare and desirable pieces. When a very rare, early edition large monkey became available I decided that I must have it. It was very expensive and more than a little indulgent but it's a special piece we will have and pass on to our children in the future".
