New Day Light - The Preview Event

Mr. Bigglesworthy's perfect end of year party involves sharing good food, luscious cocktails, live music and fantastic furniture with the people he loves.

So, that is what we did. Last Thursday we flung open the doors of the 40 George St Gallery. Falling Water cocktails and delectable treats by Catroux were laid out. The jazz musicians tuned their instruments and warmed up. All was prepared for a night of delight. And, one by one, friends of Mr. Bigglesworthy arrived to celebrate his latest collection of European designer furniture. On show were such pieces as the 'Hamilton' sideboard designed by Robert Heritage for Archie Shine, a glamorous leather sofa by Arne Norell and the most comprehensive selection of Ercol furniture that you'll see in New Zealand. Of course, we also had some G-Plan and McIntosh classics, and there were a few Danish beauties to catch the eye. All these stunning pieces were brought together with unique pieces of art, objects and Dilana rugs. It was a night enjoyed by all. And when it came to a close, guests - refreshed and inspired - walked arm in arm, away into the warm summer night.
