Description

Len Castle is one of New Zealand's greatest potters. His innovative approach and innate understanding of the medium led him to create an enduring legacy of spectacular pottery. Castle's work is highly coveted and collected both throughout New Zealand and Internationally. His work has been exhibited world-wide, including Australia, Taiwan, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, USA and England (at the Victoria and Albert Museum).

This large stoneware platter is an impressive example of Castle's work. A very generous scale is captured in a simple, organic form with a brushed decoration of jun glaze over tenmoku. This stunning piece will add history and character to any contemporary interior.
