Description

French born Stephane Rondel created some of New Zealand's most coveted furniture and design objects during the late 20th Century. His talent for design led to furniture commissions for the Elysée Palace in Paris and large scale, award winning design projects in New Zealand.

Rondel also created a series of playful and quirky design objects for the home, during the 1990's. These were highly successful and are now very coveted. The Conran Shop in London stocked Rondel's work and his furniture has featured in several music videos, album covers and movies around the world.

This sleek heart shaped candlestick holder is one of the iconic pieces produced by Rondel. The form is romantic and curvaceous – in Rondel's words 'these candlesticks do far more than hold a candle; they gracefully elevate a romantic glow which encourages time spent together'.
