Bengt Ruda Armchair and Ottoman
An inspired offering from one of the pioneers of Swedish modern furniture design.
Bengt Ruda was at the forefront of modern Swedish design during the 1950s and 60's. His early work is highly influenced by the lavish furniture produced by leading Italian designers of the same era. This stunning chair with its unique scissor form is no exception.
By the late 1950's Ruda was designing furniture for the rising star that was soon to become an international furniture and design behemoth – IKEA. This cute chair is a fine example of Ruda's early work and will stand out in any contemporary setting.
