Description

Paul McCobb's furniture designs have played a pivotal role in forming the American mid century aesthetic. His work covered an extensive list of interior products including radios and wallpaper. We love the thoughtful simplicity and elegance of his work, which is highly recognisable and often a little bit quirky.

The 'Planner Group' line of furniture, designed in 1949, paved the way for the modern aesthetic in the post war American home. The range with its clean lines and crisp angles was so successful that it remained in production for 15 years. In addition, several companies created direct copies of this groundbreaking design.

More recently, McCobb has won over high profile fans like Paul McCartney, who holds an armchair in his personal collection. We are pleased to be able to offer this rare coffee table to the New Zealand audience.
