Description

Finnish Designer Eero Aarnio is responsible for some of the most iconic modern furniture design. His brilliant Ball and Bubble chairs were instant classics that epitomised the playful nature of 1960s pop culture.

During the 70s Aarnio embraced materials used by early Bauhaus designers like chromed steel and leather. These designs once again pushed the boundaries of modern design and helped define the more glamorous edge of the era.

This rare offering was produced under license by Framac in Australia and is likely part of the 'Silver Series' that Aarnio originally designed for Mobel Italia. We have the matching coffee table available.

Condition

Materials: Beautifully crafted from chrome steel with leather upholstery

Chrome Finish: In good original condition with some character aging

Upholstery: Original leather in good vintage condition. On one chair there is a 10cm area of stitching which has come undone between the seat base rolls. It is not noticeable and does not detract from the piece overall
