Celebrated Danish designer Arne Jacobsen is responsible for creating some of the most ground-breaking and iconic designs of the mid 20th century. The 'Series 7' chair with its elegant hour-glass form is considered one of Jacobsen's masterpieces. It was designed in 1955 for the H55 exhibition in Sweden and has since gone on to become one of the most recognised mid-century chairs ever made.

The Series 7 perfectly captures the advances made in plywood moulding in the early 1950s. This allowed the chair's iconic shape, ultra-sturdy construction and incredible comfort. Slim-line organic curves and a contoured seat form a design that is as fresh and modern today as the day it was first made in over 60 years ago!

Adding to the design appeal of this chair is its universal functionality – it works around a dining table, in a kitchen, office or bedroom and fits equally well into modern, country or eclectic styles.
