Description

This striking, generously proportioned bowl was designed by Jan Beranek for Skrdlovice glassworks. It was crafted in a range of colours, this one is in amber cased in clear green glass.

The Skrdlovice Glassworks was founded in 1940 in Skrdlovice, Czechoslovakia by Emanuel Beranek. It was a family business which also incorporated Jan and Jindrik, his two sons, during the 1950s. A string of noted glass artists also contributed to the success of the company, which still operates today under the name 'Beranek'.
