Description

Venetian art glass is celebrated for its dynamic forms and bold use of colour. This vibrant black and copper aventurine is no exception. The crisp design is perfectly crafted and ready to take centre stage in any setting. This is a rare offering, designed exclusively for American retailer Weil by the Murano glass designer Barbini in the 1960s.

Weil Ceramics & Glass was an American importer with a large showroom on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, NY. They also had showrooms in Dallas & Chicago. The company operated between the 1950's to 1980's and specialised in imported high end glass & ceramics from Europe.

NOTE: This listing is for the lidded bowl, we have other matching pieces from this range available.

Condition

Glass Condition: Very good vintage condition and displays well.

NOTE: There has been a past repair to the lid handle as shown in photos. It's not obvious but notable on close inspection. Price takes this into account.
