Pair of Falcon Chairs by Sigurd Ressell
With the Falcon chair, Sigurd Ressell has combined materials, line and form to create an enduring design icon.
The aptly named 'Falcon' Chair by Sigurd Ressell is as sharp and bold as its moniker suggests. The chair was designed in 1970 and has since become an icon of mid-century Norwegian design. It's a stunning design that will never retire quietly in the background, instead preferring centre stage as a statement piece.
Vatne Mobler originally produced the Falcon chair with chromed steel legs but the production and export costs were hugely expensive. In 1974 things took off with when production of the frame was changed to a steam bent laminated timber version. This allowed cost effective production, flat packing and easy transport of the design throughout the world to a highly receptive audience.
On offer are two highly coveted Falcon chairs with bent ply frames. A stunning statement that will turn heads in any environment.
