Pair of Piero Lissoni for Fritz Hansen Chairs
Slick Italian modernism meets prominent Danish design with these fabulous PL200 armchairs.
Piero Lissoni is a celebrated Italian designer and architect. He has worked with a number of leading design brands, such as Boffi, Cassina, Kartell and Flos to design highly memorable furniture and lighting. Lissoni loves to design full-scale interiors and architecture of hotels, offices and showrooms, yachts and private homes. He's inspired by many different elements but also designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjærholm who’s work he has channelled in designing these elegant chairs for Fritz Hansen.
The elegant and very sculptural PL200 was designed in 2006. It is now out of production and has become a coveted contemporary design. For this series of furniture for Danish maker Fritz Hansen, Lissoni favoured an international design language. Simple and classic lines are showcased in a offering that is sophisticated and contemporary. The base is made from stainless steel which elevates a simple bent plywood seat lacquered in glossy white.
Materials: Beautifully crafted from bent plywood and steel
Metal Finish: Very good condition
Seat Finish: Good structural condition but lacquered white paint finish has light scratches and indentations likely caused by jeans rivets. We've tried to photograph but it's hard to capture.
Makers Label: Fritz Hansen labels can be found underneath the seat of the chairs
