Description

Crescent shaped cushions and starkly simple silhouettes define these tripod bar stools and reflect the elegant, modernist sensibility of designer, Garth Chester.

Chester is one of New Zealand's most important mid century designers. He pioneered bent ply furniture with his iconic 'Curvesse' chair. After a fire destroyed his factory in the 1950s, Chester embraced the simplicity of steel. His talent with this new medium is clear in the crisp angular frames of these very desirable stools.
