Description

Heywood Wakefield was at the forefront of modern design in the 1950s. The progressive American firm had some of the most prominent designers creating furniture that embraced clean lines, endearing forms and high quality construction. The signature Heywood Wakefield feature is the vibrant yellow birch that each piece is constructed from. It gave the furniture a light and optimistic feel, quickly embraced by stylish homes throughout the country.

This elegant set of drawers designed by Ernest Herman is the perfect example of the Heywood Wakefield aesthetic. The simple, highly functional form is uninterrupted by adornment; allowing the vibrant grain of the timber to speak for itself. It's the subtle details that shine, crisp lines and subtle curves elevate this offering and create the perfect addition for either the bedroom or the lounge.
