Description

When George Mulhauser designed the highly celebrated 'Coconut Chair' for George Nelson in 1955 he established himself as one of the most exciting modern furniture designers in America.

In 1960 Mulhauser designed the 'Mr Chair', another groundbreaking design now considered an icon of the American mid-century era. This memorable armchair features an elegant plywood shell in walnut that forms the curvaceous body of the chair. The chair is also defined by a buttoned seat that references the traditional Chesterfield sofa often found in gentleman's clubs.

These Plycraft produced lounge chairs are a dangerously comfortable duo. The focus here is refined comfort, matched perfectly with stylish design and a lightness of form. This classic mid-century design will stand out and turn heads in any contemporary interior.
