With the talented, but little known, Danish designer Gunther Hoffstead employed as design director and British designer Peter Hayward working as a design consultant, Uniflex offered innovative modern furniture through leading retailers.
The refined simplicity of the Uniflex designs were often confronting to the 1950s British public. The designs were also more premium and higher priced than other traditional British furniture makers, so sold in lower quantities.
Today, Uniflex furniture is recognised for it's progressive and timeless designs combined with high quality craftsmanship. Many of the furniture ranges have become rare, coveted, and respected icons of British mid-century design.
