Exquisite Florence Knoll Marble Coffee Table by Knoll
During the 1950s, American designer Florence Knoll created a range of highly successful modern furniture for her company Knoll. The designs were inspired by her mentor Mies van der Rohe, who she studied under at the Armour Institute of Technology in Chicago.
Spare and light, this Florence Knoll Coffee Table was a bold and striking design in 1954, suitable for the open plan interiors and offices of the post-war period. It was also the winner of American Institute of Interior Designers First Award in 1954.
This timeless design features a simple, linear chrome steel base that elevates a beautiful cut of Cararra marble. It's a geometric offering that fits with any contemporary interior and remains an enduring icon of mid-century modernism.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
