Impressive Enzo Mari 'Frate' Table by Driade
Enzo Mari is a noted Italian modernist artist and furniture designer, He draws inspiration from the idealism of the arts and crafts movement, and his political views as a communist. His works are on display at the Venice Biennale, the Milan Triennale, the Schloss Charlottenburg in Berlin, the M.I.C. in Faenza, the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, MoMA in New York and the Triennale in Milan.
Mari designed the 'Frate' table for Driade in 1973 and it has since become one of his most iconic designs. The table top is constructed from low iron tempered glass to accentuate the harsh simplicity of steel legs and solid beech wood beam. This is a bold and timeless offering, executed in honest materials and crafted to last a lifetime.
