Jorgen Gammelgaard 'Tip Top' Pendant Shade by Design Forum
When Jørgen Gammelgaard visited Samoa as a UN consultant in the sixties the only light in his office was a simple strip light. To improve the light quality he turned the light strip vertical and decorated it with cut plastic lids.
This idea became the prototype for the 'Tip Top' lamp, a minimalist pendant design featuring six vertically stacked aluminium shades. The design was finalised in December 1971 and became an immediate success on its launch in 1972.
NOTE: Price is per shade, we currently have two available.
