Vibrant Christer Holmgren Pop Era 'Carnaby' Vase by Holmegaard
Danish glassblowing factory Holmegaard has been pushing the boundaries of glass for 200 years. From the 1920s, it engaged the services of a number of glass designers to create new products, a tradition that has continued until the present. Today Holmegaard is considered a Danish design icon and one of the most recognised names in Scandinavian craftsmanship traditions.
The Carnaby range from the 1960s is one of Holmegaard's most coveted mid century collections. Playful yet simple forms were executed in vibrant pop colours that were a big hit with tastemakers of the day. A number of leading designers contributed to the range. These vases were designed by Swedish designer Christer Holmgren in 1968 and have since become highly coveted pop era icons.
NOTE: Price is for the blue vase only.
