Some of New Zealand's most premium modern furniture was designed and produced by Wellington based firm Backhouse. This stunning teak bar cart is inspired by the work of Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Son.
Stripped of all unnecessary embellishment, this bar cart consists of a sculpted, folding top surface with a luminous teak grain raised on a four point base. Every line and curve has been considered and the result is stunning. This is a memorable piece from a firm committed to pushing the boundaries of contemporary design in New Zealand. It will stand out and add character to any modern interior.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
