An original 1950's design from Ercol founder, Lucian Ercolani, the All-Purpose Chair has become an overnight contemporary classic for both the home and workplace. True to its name, the All-Purpose Chair's noble, unadorned appearance allows it to seamlessly blend into a wide array of environments and interiors.
The precise, minimal form of the All-Purpose Chair offers the kind of meticulous craftsmanship and structural sensibility that Lucian Ercolani became known for. Today, the All-Purpose Chair is built in L. Ercolani's furniture factory in the woodlands of Buckinghamshire, honouring standards of craftsmanship, quality and sustainability that are over 100 years in the making.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
