Sleek John Herbert 'Campari' Sideboard by Younger
British furniture maker Younger crafted high end designs for discerning customers during the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Their products were made in low volume to the highest standard and always on the cutting edge of design. This long-line offering called the 'Campari' was designed by John Herbert in 1966 and consists of a central bank of three drawers flanked by two side cabinets.
Younger designs were often named after an iconic wine or spirit. The 'Campari' takes its name from the enduring red aperitif liqueur created in Milan by Gaspare Campari in 1860. The simple elegance of this forward thinking design is perfectly executed with minimal adornment. The doors feature unique half circle handles which complement the geometric drawer pulls of this memorable piece.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
