Description

The Tulip dining chair with its elegant stem and fluid sculptural form has become an icon of modern design. This futuristic piece was created by the much-lauded architect Eero Saarinen in 1956 and to this day remains engaging, vibrant and highly sought after. The form-defining pedestal base was designed to address Saarinen's belief that “The underside of typical tables and chairs makes a confusing, unrestful world”.

Saarinen understood the power of good design, merging user comfort and organic form seamlessly into a forward focused object of desire. This stunning chair is no exception. This is an 50th Year Anniversary edition produced by Knoll in 2007.
