Whites Aviation Photography - Pamir
Photographs of our beautiful country don't get much better than the iconic aerial shots taken by Leo White for Whites Aviation.
During World War II the Finnish sailing ship Pamir was famously seized as a prize of war by the New Zealand government while in port in Wellington in 1941. The Pamir was returned in 1948. Originally printed as black and white, this classic photograph has been lovingly hand tinted to add glorious colour and depth.
Whites pieces are hot collectors items and also stunning artworks in their own right. After serveral pop culture sightings in recent TV adverts, music videos and design magazines, demand is growing quickly.
