Roche Bobois is a luxury French furniture maker renowned for its superb craftsmanship, fine materials, and opulent designs. Since the 1960s, Roche Bobois has collaborated with some of the worlds leading designers and couture fashion houses to create furniture icons that remain fresh and relevant today.
In the 1970s Roche Bobois began moving away from the more formal Scandinavian style and embraced a casual, grounded aesthetic with plush oversized forms. Comfortable lounging defined the modern interior and Roche Bobois ensured it was at the forefront of this new direction.
This plush Italian made sofa with its beautifully draped leather upholstery is from the 'Morgan' range, it was purchased by the original owner in New York c 1984. At the time it was considered the height of sophistication and comfort, and you can see it's influence on future sofa designs.
