Postmodern 'Memphis' Armchair and Ottoman by Natuzzi Italia
This memorable 1980s postmodern armchair and ottoman from Italian maker Natuzzi Italia is called the 'Memphis'. It's a clear reference to the avant-garde Italian design movement of the same name. The design cuts a bold silhouette, showcasing the artistic direction of this progressive maker during an expressive decade.
The 'Memphis' design also takes obvious cues from Ron Arad's highly influential 'Rover' chair from 1981. We love the playful semi-circular steel frame that supports a seat very reminiscent of the automobile industry. This bold design is very comfortable and the perfect statement piece for any contemporary interior.
