Bringing together the warmth and organic elements of Scandinavian modern design with a sense of Italian drama and detail, this coffee table from Dutch designer Louis van Teeffelen is an impressive object.
A slim profile table top is supported by offset tapered legs and a shelf finished with geometric rattan strips through the centre to provide an elegant shelf. A show stopping tile arrangement by ceramic artist Jaap Ravellito the top is a functional detail adding a surface for hot beverages and an eye catching mid-century element.
Furniture maker Walraven en Bevers, later known as Wébé Meubelen was a significant Dutch furniture company which employed designer Louis Van Teeffelen from 1955 to the end of 1967 as lead chief designer.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
