Scandart was a mid-century English company based in one of the main production areas for furniture at the time, High Wycombe. The company was highly influenced by the popular Scandinavian design style and interpreted the latest designs for a local audience.
These beautiful chairs, featuring sleek lines crafted from rich afromosia, are a memorable example of the Scandart offering. They were commonly called 'His and Hers' chairs as a reference to the difference in scale but today they are suitable for all pronouns!
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
