Sharp DON Diamond Arm Folding Sofa Daybed
During the 1960s, DON furniture was the brand every aspiring New Zealand household coveted. At its peak there was even a prime time TV commercial with a smooth jazz soundtrack, celebrating the clean lines and beautiful fabrics that defined the DON range.
Seeing this memorable fold-down sofa with it's graphic diamond-like armrests, it's easy to see what all the fuss was about. This particular design is inspired by the work of Danish designer Arne Vodder and perfectly captures the organic Scandinavian style that defined the era.
This stunning offering will elevate any contemporary interior and is a beautiful example of mid century New Zealand design. We love how the sofa folds down into a daybed, it's the perfect place for that sneaky afternoon nap.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
