Refined Hugo Troedsson Bookshelf / Cabinet by Troeds
Swedish furniture maker Troeds was founded in 1934 by Svea and Hugo Troedsson in the small community of Bjärnum. As the desirability of Scandinavian furniture grew internationally, Troeds expanded production and collaborated with some of Sweden’s most talented architect designers including Nils Jonsson and Yngve Ekström.
This refined bookcase with storage cabinet is a stunning example of the work Troeds produced during the 1950s. It is an interesting combination of teak and beech and features memorable details like the cabinet handles which float out in front of the doors. Another brilliant feature is the subtle pull out desktop which is ideal for use with a laptop.
