Swedish furniture maker Troeds was founded in 1934 by Svea and Hugo Troedsson in the small community of Bjärnum. As the desirability of Scandinavian furniture grew internationally, Troeds expanded production and collaborated with some of Sweden’s most talented Architect designers including Nils Jonsson and Yngve Ekström.
By the mid-1950s Troeds had become one of Swedens leading furniture makers and Bjarnum was a thriving hub for the Swedish furniture industry. The company focused on exporting premium furniture to Europe, the UK and the United States, producing designs that combined lightness of form, beauty and function - the essence of Scandinavian Modern.
Today, Troeds is still in family operation, run by Bengt Troedsson with his wife Britt-Marie.
