Sleek Lou App Eames Style Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Plycraft
This Plycraft lounge chair and ottoman is dangerously comfortable. The focus here is on sleek minimalism and elevated relaxation. Bold, plywood shells in American walnut are combined with plush leather cushioning and a tiltable seat to create a collectable and desirable offering from one of the iconic mid-century furniture makers in the United States.
Designer Lou App is a pseudonym for Plycraft's owner Paul Goldman. While this design shares its DNA with the 1956 Lounge Chair by Charles & Ray Eames, it is ultimately a simplified version of the successful range of 'Mr Chairs' that Plycraft / Goldman produced for George Mulhauser in the 1960s.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
