Description

Charles and Ray Eames were one of the pivotal forces in modern design during the post war era. With a grand sense of adventure, they channeled their curiosity and boundless enthusiasm into creations that quickly established them as one of the truly great American husband-and-wife design teams. Their work is now highly coveted and held in leading museums throughout the world.

From it's release in the 1950s, the Eames fiberglass chairs quickly set the standard for home and institutional seating. The DSX chair's great comfort, playful colours and lightness of form made it an obvious choice for aspiring contemporary homes throughout the world. It has cemented this design as one of the most iconic chairs of the 20th century.

The initials of the DSX stand for Dining (height) Side (chair) X-Base (base).
