Super Chic Pierre Vandel Etagere Display Shelving
A stunning display shelf from the French master of 1970s glamour.
French designer Pierre Vandel championed a bold and luxurious direction in furniture during the 1970s and 80s. With the support of good friend Pierre Cardin, Vandel became one of the leading taste-makers in modern furniture, quickly gaining a dedicated clientele from some of the worlds most rich and famous.
Vandel has a very 'Hollywood Regency' design aesthetic. His work is recognisable through it's use of glamorous materials and detailing. Silver, brass, lucite and lacquered timber are favourites in the Vandel oeuvre. These stunning pieces were then exported to eager customers in New York, London, Melbourne, and Tokyo.
This rare and elegant neoclassical library shelf showcases all of the reasons why Pierre Vandel was so popular. Perfect proportions and high end construction elevates this white lacquered metal structure with brass detailing and bevelled glass shelves. This memorable and visually enticing design is the perfect piece for any contemporary home.
