Pair of Crisp Sam Haughton 'Nelson' Armchairs by IMO
Sam Haughton's furniture designs are defined by beautiful clean lines, warm timber finishes and an elegant lightness of form. He established IMO in 2004 with a dedication to creating good design that will remain relevant and valued – this impressive pair of 'Nelson' armchairs is no exception.
Haughton opened his first workshop in 1992, designing and manufacturing one-off commissions and over time developed a standard product range. “As my business grew, I started working with local manufacturers which is when I really started to understand how things were made. Design doesn’t have to be expensive or elitist, just good quality and accessible. I like the notion of ‘good design for all’.”
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
