Sleek 1970s Aluminium and Leather NZ Designer Chair with Ottoman
This striking NZ made lounge chair and ottoman is a winning combination of sleek curves and laid back comfort. It was produced in the 1970s by a German designer living in Devonport and retailed through a limited number of premium furniture stores, including Zarach Interiors in Commerce St, Auckland.
Supple darkest brown leather cushions are slung over a curvaceous and unique aluminium frame giving this chair a distinctive profile and lightness of form not often found in a leather lounge chair. This is a rare and distinctive piece of New Zealand design history that will add character to any contemporary interior.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
