Pair of Rare Kai Lyngfeldt Larsen 'Model BO 110' Safari Armchairs by Bovirke
Scandinavian furniture maker Bovirke collaborated with some of the most highly regarded Danish architects of the mid-20th century. Poul H. Lund, the owner of Bovirke, was the first person to see the advantages to factory production of Finn Juhl's furniture in the late 1940s. This gave the designs access to a much larger audience and was influential in the success of Danish furniture internationally.
During the 1950s, Bovirke continued to collaborate with leading architects to create pieces that are now considered icons of 20th century Scandinavian design. These refined safari style chairs are the Model BO-110 designed by Danish architect Kai Lyngfeldt Larsen. A simple, highly refined teak frame with saddle leather upholstery forms a beautifully functional lounge chair.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
