Six Elegant David Walker Dining Chairs by Dalescraft
Family business Dalescraft flourished under the talented direction of master cabinet maker and designer David Walker. During the mid 20th century the company designed and produced small batches of high quality furniture inspired by the Scandiavian ethic of simple organic forms.
The appeal of this chair is in a sleek, streamlined form that focuses on the beauty of simplicity. A sculpted backrest is framed by a linear, graphic base which has a geometric quality where the teak is designed to create a play with negative space. This is a set we have custom upholstered in a fresh textile from Mokum.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
