Sculptural W. H. Gunlocke Occasional Chairs
These stunning W. H. Gunlocke chairs are fit for an American President. JFK thought so.
These stunning chairs are defined by sleek, sculpted frames and organic scoop-style backrests. They epitomize bold American aesthetic of the post war era. We love the perfectly-executed curves and inspired use of negative space created by the angular legs. The generous seats seem to float in their solid walnut frame.
American furniture maker W. H. Gunlocke has been designing and producing premium chairs since 1902. The company developed a high profile and sterling reputation through its work with large corporate and Government contracts. Great American presidents like Franklin Roosevelt chose a range of Gunlocke furniture for the Whitehouse, and JFK often sat in a Gunlocke chair at the Oval Office.
