Curtis Jere Birds in Flight Sculpture
The ultimate mid-century style statement – a Curtis Jere sculpture.
This dynamic mid century sculpture makes an elegant play between form and space. The angular wings of the birds make sleek, elongated shadows on the wall, contrasting beautifully with negative space in-between the birds.
Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels created the nom de plume Curtis Jere in the 1950's to market their contemporary sculptures. They designed and made large scale metal art which retailed through high end studios like Raymor in New York City.
Good examples have become highly coveted and can be seen in some of the most deluxe homes from Palm Springs to New York City. This rare offering is one of the most coveted Jere designs.
