Sculptural Mid-Century Outdoor Chairs
These highly sculptural outdoor armchairs perfectly capture the graphic and playful 1950s aesthetic.
This stunning set of outdoor chairs came from an architecturally designed mid century home in Nelson. Due to heavy import restrictions in New Zealand during the 1950s, this set is likely a small batch, locally produced offering inspired by Italian designer Maurizio Tempestini's work for high end American outdoor furniture maker Salterini.
The radar shaped metal frames combine clean lines, memorable curves and cute geometric detailing to the seats. They have been recently sand blasted and sprayed with a durable outdoor paint in a beautiful mid-century colour palette, ready to grace the great outdoors for another 60 years.
