Arne Norell 'Indra' Two Seater Sofa by Norell Møbel AB
This masterpiece from Arne Norrell is a case study in elegant, inspired mid-century design.
Scandinavian designer Arne Norell is considered one of the leading lights of mid-century Swedish design. Norell is often praised for pioneering “conceptual” furniture, because he employed traditional materials in unexpected forms. Many of Norell's most celebrated designs are are lightweight, collapsible, and held together by leather support straps instead of glue or screws.
This memorable and highly coveted sofa from the 'Indra' range showcases why Norell's work has become so desirable. A fully exposed and perfectly refined beech frame is held together by thick leather straps. There are no screws or glue in sight, just perfect joinery and an insightful knowledge of natural materials.
The 'Indra' also happens to be incredibly comfortable, enduring and a handsome statement piece that will define any modern interior.
