Mariano Fortuny Floor Lamp by Pallucco
A classic and highly iconic Italian design that has inspired for over a century.
The Fortuny floor lamp was conceived by by artist and painter Mario Fortuny Madrazo in 1907. It continues to be considered a contemporary and timeless icon to this day. The idea for the base came from a camera’s tripod while for the lampshade Fortuny reversed the typical lampshades of the time, making it tiltable and thus creating an instrument of light orientation.
