Description

This charming interpretation of the teapot form is an imaginative, reductive and highly original object of art and craft. Deliberate, graphic lines neatly sit together to showcase the smooth, matt surface of the deep gray finish. A sculpted space in the centre allows the stopper to be the focal point of the piece in a smooth black finish.

In 1973 Rick Rudd arrived in New Zealand as a British migrant, having trained at Great Yarmouth and Wolverhampton colleges of art. Since then he has won numerous awards and exhibited throughout New Zealand and internationally.
His work is held in many New Zealand public collections and has been included in several books.
