Description

We are delighted to find such a beautiful example of early modernist design. Bristol based furniture company PE Gane Ltd was inspired by a visit from leading modernist proponent Marcel Breuer in the early 30s and turned its focus from the arts and crafts movement to producing inspired modernist furniture.

The 'Famulus' chair is formed by the intersection of highly exaggerated steam bent curves. A cantilevered base is the perfect showcase for the gorgeous oak arcs, offering a beautiful design with a lightness of form that is definitely best enjoyed close up.
